Sharon Brener OBITUARY

Sharon (Katz) Brener, 58, passed away peacefully on March 2nd, 2026, at her home in Brookhaven, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on July 28th, 1967, in Johannesburg, South Africa, to Bernie and Ruth Katz. She was a wonderful and passionate preschool teacher who cared deeply about nurturing children. In her life, she brought warmth, kindness, and love to everyone she met and loved nothing more than spending time with her family, who were all her best friends, as well as her dog Benny. She was incredibly selfless, always doing everything she could for the people she cared for most. She loved to laugh and was extraordinarily funny. Her friends and family will miss her endlessly, and her memory will live on through the impact she’s had on her family and her community.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Bernie and Ruth, and two of her siblings, Warren and Heidi. She is survived by her husband Howard; children, Jamie and Jared; and brother, Larry.

A graveside funeral will be held at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at Arlington Memorial Park.
