Toby Borochoff Menart passed away Saturday, June 24, 2017. Toby was the precious wife of Dale Menart. She was mother and best friend to Heather Galkin Bilotta (Chris), and loving grandma to Tobin and Caiden Bilotta, of Tampa, FL. A native Atlantan, she attended Margaret Mitchell Elementary and Northside High School, and the University of Cincinnati. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ida and Charles Borochoff. She is survived by her siblings, Lynn Gould (Myles), Jean Shapiro (Mark), and Lance Borochoff (Sara), all of Atlanta; sisters- and brother-in-law, Loretta Hmiel of High Point, NC, and Eileen Scharsu and Ron Menart of Ohio. Toby spread her positive energy throughout Atlanta and Tampa. Whether running half-marathons with Heather, or boating and gardening with Dale, Toby put her heart into everything she did. Many in the Atlanta community were lucky enough to be touched by Toby’s spirit. Atlanta Business Chronicle honored her as Atlanta’s top waitress. Toby's special customers from Jim White’s Half Shell to The Swan Coach House adore her to this day. Dale my heart goes out to you and Heather. I only had the pleasure of meeting you with Toby a couple of years ago after trying to "track" her down, and Heather I only knew you as a very young child. When we were in Atlanta a few weeks ago we tried to connect, but she wasn't feeling well. Know that she has been in my heart, and my thoughts are with you. She was in my wedding oh so many years ago, and I know that David (my husband) met her at the entrance to the world beyond and they are sharing wonderful stories.
