  • OBITUARY:
Sharon Marlene Nadick, 70, of Lincolnwood, IL, passed away peacefully Wednesday, June 21, 2017 in Atlanta, GA. She was born July 29, 1946 in Chicago, IL, to Jerry and Leonard Freeman, both of blessed memory. Beginning in 1968, until her retirement in 2012, Sharon was an elementary school teacher for 44 years in the Chicago Public Schools and also taught in the Chicago Community College system. As a mother, she showed endless devotion to and support for her daughters, Robyn and Laurie. Sharon’s grandsons, Russell and Benjamin, were the loves of her life and they loved her dearly. Russell and Benjamin could always count on Grandma to be with them on their birthdays, other important holidays and whenever she was needed. Courageous and determined, Sharon never gave up in a 20-year battle against cancer. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Robyn Nadick, and a brother, Maynard Freeman. She is survived by her daughter, Lauren (Bob) Tolone; her grandsons, Russell and Benjamin Tolone; her sister, Bonnie Nadick; her sister-in-law, Carol Freeman; and her nephews, Ryan (Katie) Nadick and Leland Freeman. A funeral service will be held at 12:15 PM Sunday, June 25, 2017 in the Shalom Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, Arlington Heights, IL, with Rabbi Paul Cohen officiating. Interment will follow in Shalom Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Online memorials can be left at www.edressler.com, and www.shalom2.com. Dressler’s Jewish Funeral Care, Atlanta, GA, is in charge of arrangements.
