My son, Evan, played basketball with Drew. We just heard today, from another parent, about Cara's passing. Our heart & thoughts go out to Matt, Drew & the rest of Cara's family. If Matt & Drew need anything, please don't hesitate to reach out. Drew and Evan could have a play date or something. Much love, Julie & Cory Kessler

I went to Skyland with Cara and was heartbroken to hear of her passing. She was so sweet and supportive of me and I very much enjoyed our time together. There was no one in the world she loved more than her son. Drew - your mother loved you more than anything in the world; hang on to that. I heard so much about you, you were her world. I am so blessed to have met Cara. She changed my life for the better. May she rest in peace.

My name is Janet Marcus, daughter of Rabbi Sanford Marcus of Columbia, SC. I spent senior year of high school with Cara. We graduated Richland NorthEast together. I know Cara's sister, Alison. I have been living overseas in Paris, France but would cross paths with Cara in Columbia. She was a lovely person, always very pleasant to be with. And I was always happy to see her. I enjoyed her sense of humor. I am very sad to hear of Cara's passing away. Please receive my condolences and share them with Alison. And do not hesitate to contact me, should you wish. Janet

So sorry to hear the news about Cara. As an IT Recruiter, Cara helped me with several career opportunities over the years. Cara was a niece thru my first marriage. I remember her as a happy, bubbly child, always with a smile on her face. I was always sorry to have lost touch, but heard of her milestones thru the years from my daughter, Shanna Bedford DeCola & Facebook. My heart is with her entire family as they find strength to carry on.
